Irish interview course for primary teaching applicants
A one-day course aimed at preparing primary teaching postgraduate applicants for the Irish interview is available in Dublin on November 21.
The course will be provided by Conradh na Gaeilge on Saturday, 21 November 2009, at No. 6 Harcourt Street, Dublin 2, and will run from 10am to 5pm.
It will focus both on studying and practising for the Irish interview which must be passed to secure a place in the educational institutions. There will be practical tips on how to approach the interview, appropriate topics of conversation will be explored, and pronunciation and school terminology will be addressed.
The course will also include an individual mock-interview and personal feedback, and will ensure that each participant is ready to prepare adequately for the interview and to undertake it effectively and efficiently.
“The course with the Conradh will give people a chance to practise their Irish, and to have a go at doing a mock-interview, so they can brush up on their language skills in time for the Irish interview with the educational institutions, such as the one Hibernia College will be holding later this year,” said Jacqueline Uí Mhúirí, who teaches the Conradh na Gaeilge courses.
The cost of the one-day course is €100 and it can be booked online at www.cnag.ie, or by calling 01-4757401.
