Summer Courses at Pine Forest Art Centre
Set in the Dublin Mountains amidst beautiful scenery, the courses provide an opportunity for children and young people to acquire art and craft basics while having fun.
For over 30 years Pine Forest Art Centre has been running:
- Summer Courses,
- Easter Courses,
- Schools Days Out,
- Halloween Workshops,
- Christmas Workshops.
The Centre also produces Art and Craft Activity Books.
Set in the Dublin Mountains amidst beautiful scenery, the courses provide an opportunity for children and young people to acquire art and craft basics while having fun. No special talent is required.
Weather permitting, the courses incorporate a lot of outdoor activities related to arts and crafts, allowing children to take advantage of the fresh air and splendid natural environment. They work in age-related groups and are fully supervised at all times.
Courses
The Centre runs two-week courses during the summer months for children and young people of ages 5-16. The activities are many and varied - children paint, sculpt, sketch, make pottery and clay items, weave, batik, and do paper crafts.
The Centre also runs workshops during the Halloween, Christmas and Easter holidays.
Activity Days
School Art and Craft activity days are available from March to June.
Portfolio Courses
During August, the Centre offers a portfolio preparation course for 16 – 19 year olds. This course is provided with a view to helping young people organise and expand portfolios with Art College and /or Leaving Cert in mind.
