1,500 extra places to be created on PLC courses

Education Minister Batt O’Keeffe has announced that 1,500 extra places will be available on Post-Leaving Cert courses from September 2009.

The move forms part of the Government's efforts to provide new opportunities for the huge amount of workers who have been made redundant over the past year.

More than 31,500 PLC courses are on offer for the coming academic year. (Source: Belfast Telegraph)
