Minister for Education Mary Hanafin has announced that students who apply online by January 20 will be charged a reduced fee of €35 instead of the normal €45 application fee. And they can still make changes to their application forms up to January 31, the day prior to the offical closing date for applications, she said.

Last year 51,000 out of 61,961 applicants submitted their CAO forms online. This year the CAO office is expecting the numbers to be even higher. (Source Irish Examiner)
